I'm not sure if this was driven by the type of people attending - old rockers who love the News - or not, but there was a distinct feeling of the staff not being interested in whether we actually enjoyed being there. Everyone used the old "this is my first day" line. The staff didn't know what was in the food when asked. At each spot where we asked we got a "I'm not sure but try this." The VIP tent was, it turned out, given to everyone no matter ticket price. We headed for the gate with little knowledge of were and what we needed to go and do. Upon arrival we found parking - just a large field - easily enough. For our $120 we were sent VIP Tent access status and free parking (a $25 value for their symphony events). Our tickets were over $60 per person but we had missed out on their only other Massachusetts gig this year so what the heck.

3 concert in a TV special, 'One Last Time: An Evening With Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga.' What makes the special that aired on CBS Sunday that much more moving is that. They have never failed to entertain and didn't this time either (you should never pass up a chance to see them). Tony Bennett celebrated his 95th birthday the way he was meant to performing on stage in front of generations of fans and now the rest of the world can experience that Aug. Our trip was to see "Huey Lewis & The News". We found very little in the way of service for your dollar. It is closely linked the Boston Symphony and that link translates to money.

Everyone in Massachusetts knows that an event at Tanglewood is going to be costly.
